Town Talk

CWA reportTHE first meeting of 2015 was happy and busy.

It was good to be back among such special friends and fill our diaries with so many coming events.

Invitations to branch international days, local organizations activities of interest and CWA regular meetings.

Our own international day is on June 30 and yet to be planned.

First is group council at Nambucca Heads where handicraft and cooking will be judged.

We will be well represented in both sections and hope to come away with some winning items.

We thank the many people who supported our Christmas raffle and congratulate the winners.

The generous result lets us start the year with a boost to our finances.

CWA of NSW has been able to give a very large donation to Medecins Sans Frontiers to aid in Ebola relief, and has distributed $100,000 for drought relief in our State.

We are proud that we have been able to contribute to the disaster fund that supplied such donations.

Thursday handicraft is for all.

You don’t have to be a member and more people are taking the opportunity to join this special morning.

The room is full of chatter and laughter and some handicraft does get done.

On Tuesday mornings the songsters practice high and low notes to prepare entertainment for coming events.

If you enjoy singing come and add your voice, you will certainly enjoy the company.

A number of us have reached 85 and that dreaded driving test.

We all passed.

CWA is still on the road.
